Blyth's hornbill is a large bird common throughout the Solomons. In appearance and voice they hark back to an prehistoric era, and further enhance the tangible aura of Tetepare as a land time has forgotten. It takes very little imagination to equate the loud swooshing beat of their wings with that of a pterodactyl's.
